Tribute to parents - 2 and half decades of love

Much is to be said about our upbringing. I am very fortunate to have mine. Today, people tend to assume where we came from and how we got IT. Life in the 80's were difficult for my parents whilst I had the time of my life. They struggled together through thick & thin. I remember the times when I waited for my dad to come home late at night. I often wondered why he had to do so. Today, IT all makes perfect sense.

I grew up in an excellent neighbourhood. The best times were spent in the evening mimicking TV shows such as MacGyver and the A-Team. American media influenced most of us at such a young age. Hence, the American accent wherever we travel. I often wondered what ever happened to everyone back in this old neighbourhood, some lost their fathers to the military and some lost their mothers to business. These friends are still alive today. The power of the internet can be put to good use. I look forward to meeting all of you someday.

For my parents, they have gone through life in its full circle. They started off with absolutely nothing except the love they had for their children. This feeling we call love is indeed a strong force that drives us forward to achieve success.

Essentially, it is time for the children to return the favour and continue loving our parents wherever we are. For the ones that have gone, we will be reunited one fine day. That's life.

I dedicate more than words to my loving parents. May God return the love you have cherished throughout the past 26 years. I feel truly blessed.
