I have to emphasize that I love the 1980's to bits. Picture this, your only duty in life then was to learn and eat. On weekends you had the option to dissapear to India (in a manner of speaking).
My favourite past time then was to play with 'Advante' and anything else that was electronic based. The first pc I got was the Mac Plus, what I really wanted was a Commodore II from Selfridges. After much consideration it was all down to the Mac Plus.
This was the Macintosh era. Each Mac that came out including the IIVX was adored by many. Mac's had a reputation normal 486x's could never match. No doubt the applications available to Mac's were limited but it did not lack in the games department. I remember titles such as 'shuffle puck' to rock my days in the early 80's . We didn't have 3D cards or any peripherals for extension, all that was available was the black and white images of Mac Plus which was later upgraded with 20 MB of Hard Disk space with the Mac SE. The best thing about Mac's back then and now was the start up sound! Absolutely amazing.
A few years later, came the Mac II which I was obsessed with. Thankfully, I was on the Mac II with Falcon 4.0 all weekend in Damansara. If we did not do this, it would be up to 'Vindaloo Curry' to take the lead.
As for music, this track was da bomb in the 80's. Download apache_indian_chokthere.mp3
