I've always been inspired by films like The Island and The Beach. Everybody needs their own paradise in life. Leonardo De Caprio set out to sail over the world. He found what he was looking for. Only in that film, he lost to temptation.
As a young adult we look for things in life that are fun. Being surrounded by friends and good people. Not many will really go the extra mile to tell you off when your wrong. I appreciate the few that do. Not many ions ago, I had many experiences where I went way off the ordinary scale. Guess what? Them human beings we call friends were happy to lead us astray. When your living in the fast lane, you tend not to give a hoot to anyone around you. What matters is only what you want and how you see the world in your eyes.
Of course happiness was there. We get what we want and therefore satisfied.
The question is, what happens after? If you needed X to accomplish Y. Would you do absolutely anything to get Y? Would you even sell your own soul?
They say money is power. It is only a means to an end.
You dont cross the finish line and collect your 200 dollars in life. Its more than that.
Being happy is really about today. What you have is, IT.
Tonight, a friend of mine asked whether I wanted X. Naturally, my sincere response to him was, I already have it.
I have found my own beach.
