Where do I begin, right here..

Just witnessed an internet conference call by Webex a few moments ago. The system is pretty stable, its a typical desktop mirror interface that allows presentations to be done live simultanouesly whilst meeting attendees witness the conference.

Price is around 33 cents per minute, that's in USD.

For businesses whom are based globally, its the cheapest and perfect solution short of flying your staff to destinations globally.

The Internet has not only brought us closer together as a global village, it has broadened our perspectives on what the world really is. Maps and such.

Have you not ever felt that Australia is next door? The land down under but really next door..

I have the privellege of working with some really talented Australians. Thank God.

Workload is a pile of interesting assignments. As long as it is line with communication technology, I will always be tweaked for performance.

Don't you just hate it when others try and take control of what God has already granted you? I mean.. it sucks when intervention from forces knowned are in place. They will never succeed. InsyaAllah.

Magnahouse in Belgrade, Serbia on 27th July and Richie Hawtin on 28th July 2004.

To end the global week, there will be a Godskitchen Global Gathering on Saturday 31st July 2004 at Long Marston Airfield, near Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire, United Kingdom.

Data Networks are so important in this country.

Packets of data transmitted everywhere. Have you ever wondered how Personal Data Networks are configured?

I sure had a real tough time with IP addresses and DHCP servers. It doesnt matter if the brand you use is Cisco or D-Link. Its the knowledge that really benefit experienced network architecture users.

Step by step manuals are useless, makes you feel like your in kindergarten!

Looks like that course in MCSE really paid off.

Still unhappy with the rate at which data transfers though. Slow for high speed internet access. Short of installing your own Scopetel dish at RM 2000 a month. The current deal seems killer pricing.

The secret of being successful in setting up your data networks is simply 'never giving up'.

There was once upon a time when my view on a 9 to 5 job would always be categorized as being a 'slave to the system'.

Who's system is it really anyway?

Is it not ours?

Malaysia is far behind the U.S. in terms of development.
I wonder whom would be the equivalent of Micheal Moore in Malaysia?

Its a decent way of living by liberating people with facts on what goes on behind closed doors. On what goes on behind the media.

We read newspapers to keep up to date with business and social agendas.
We read to inform ourselves on everyday government issues.

Some people read the Malay Mail for kicks. I don't.

At the end of the day, we do what we have to. Sustaining our daily requirements gives us a 'living.'

If your out to be No. II, you have to do what it takes.

Elections

You know how we see that adults should behave automatically?

Tonight, I witnessed adults behaving like children.

Is it normal for this to happen in a developing country? Personal attacks comitted upon evidence of party leadership.

I would rather not quote the party in question, however tonight I saw what power does to the human being.

We hear stories of corruption and misappropriation of funds etc..

These incidences really do happen and yet nothing is really done about it.

Money politics is a norm when it comes to elections. Do you not see?

What other benefit does the votee get for comitting their personal time and effort for others?

Morally it should be a responsibility for each and everyone of us to play an important role in society by offering support and votes for the federal government.

It's always "what do I get" and never "how can my personal effort benefit society?"

As gloomy as it may seem, tonight is a reality.

Up There?

Each day we live, we live with purpose.

The best way in acomplishing daily goals would be to ask ourselves what we have done.

E.G Today, I managed to piss off the senior management or Today, I managed to complete a 5 figure deal.

By rounding up each day and listing what we've acomplished seems to work for me.

Most of the time procrastination adds to the list of things to do and adds up the workload on your desk. Having a 'to do list' doesnt really help.

However, initiative and doing IT does!

To end, I quote myself;

"We can't make a future on what we will be doing, so... Just do IT"

People

There's a new phenomena that recently populated my boat of experiences.

Its called 'revolving around a similar subject matter social group' - the term does not have any apparent meaning other than what it seems.

The level of performance that affects each employee at work depends on the level of research and developement an employee sacrifices in time. To be a subject matter expert in any field does not just take apparent reading of relevant material but also the understanding of processes surrounding him/her in the related subject area.

Usually, social meetings can revolove around the same kind of people with similar interests. I think its cool when you meet people whom are specialised in the same area as you are trainining. I had the fortunate exeprience today.

Bear in mind, a stranger whom you see in the street or other public areas may be your next co-worker to say the least.

The way in which human beings interact with each other is completely amazing. We exchange information at lightning speeds and are fortunate to end up together in different social groups.
Its automatic - yes just like Utada Hikaru's song. (Grins)

Paradise

I have been meaning to update my entries since last week. However I have been tied up with several meetings in the little island down south.

I flew in on Friday morning. Flight was excellent. Rafidah and her husband were on the same flight. To add on this so was Harun Din and his wife. I soon found out later that Friday.

First thing was the visit to the backoffice and then I headed towards the city area to visit the sick.

Duly after, we had a software partnership meeting with some guys representing Verity.

Its been 2 nights so far and I am looking forward to flying in later this evening.

I am absolutely thankful to god that my family is united. Alhamdullilah.
